Lead a regional team of medical science liaisons supporting a therapy for a rare blood disorder. A player-coach role, covering your own territory while you develop the team.
A typical mandate
The company markets a therapy for a rare inherited blood disorder and is preparing a label expansion. Treating physicians are concentrated at hemophilia treatment centers and academic hematology programs. Field medical is how the company learns what those physicians need.
What the role owns
- Lead and coach a regional team of MSLs
- Cover a territory of key treatment centers yourself
- Plan scientific engagement around the upcoming label expansion
- Gather field insights and report them to medical strategy
- Support investigator-initiated research and advisory boards
- Ensure compliant scientific exchange and accurate documentation
What great candidates bring
- PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent clinical doctorate
- 5+ years as an MSL, including hematology or rare disease
- Experience leading or mentoring field medical colleagues
- Established relationships with hematology treatment centers preferred
- Willingness to travel about half of working time
- Sound judgment on compliant scientific exchange
